Meditation, Mindfulness and Compassion Practices

Meditation and Mindfulness can be powerful allies in combination with therapy or on their own. Learning to bring conscious awareness to negative patterns and imbalances in our life is an important first step toward positive change and transformation. Through mindfulness practices we can transform debilitating emotions that keep us locked in a negative self-image and learn to take positive initiative in our personal and professional life

Outside of my therapy practice, I offer training to individuals and groups in person or online, as well as CBRT (Compassion-Based Resilience Training), an 8-week comprehensive training method for building resilience and living mindfully and compassionately, scheduled at specific times throughout the year or upon request.

What is meditation and mindfulness?

Meditation is the conscious exercise of attention to harness and enhance our brain's natural powers of well-being, resilience, compassion, and altruism. Practices include mindfulness and breathing practices; self-compassion and loving-kindness; and imagery and visualization

Meditation for Schools: Mindfulness and breathing techniques have been shown to cultivate resilience and build effective methods for reducing stresses at school and at home, improve memory and the capacity to organize and plan, and increase empathy.

Meditation for Organizations: Mindfulness practices help reduce stress at the workplace, increase engagement and enhance interpersonal skills, and build empathic leadership and creative problem solving.
